2026 Resolutions
In order to prepare to make my 2026 resolutions, let’s review how I did on my four 2025 resolutions:
- Take more BIF shots – keeping my camera on a BIF setting while walking on a trail. Outcome: Fail. I didn’t do this very often.
- Learn Photoshop Basics – a repeat from 2024 to learn some basic functions Photoshop. Outcome: C. I did learn how to do a grid with multiple images in one frame.
- Offer Four Photo Contests – Outcome: Fail. I only got around to offering three contests.
- Take More Pictures – take my camera along each time we go out birding. Outcome: Fail. After the big trips where I took thousands upon thousands of pictures (i.e. South Africa, Ecuador, California) I left my camera home when going for a walk once I got home because I couldn’t stand having to process even more pictures.
After reviewing my relative inability to keep even the simplest resolutions each year for the past several years here is my GreatBirdPics.com 2026 Resolution: I resolve not to make any resolutions this year.
It’s not that I don’t want to improve my bird photography skills and this website, it’s just that I can’t seem to keep a resolution, even the simple ones. At least with this year’s resolution I know it is one I can keep!
