Back In Town!

After almost three weeks of experiencing the sights, sounds and birds of South Africa we returned home Saturday afternoon.  We were in transit for over 30 hours (three flights with layovers).  I’m still working through the jet lag as South Africa was seven hours earlier than Chicago time – got acclimated to that after 3-4 days there, now trying to get back to normal sleep patterns here.

Just a warning – I took over 10,000 shots while in South Africa.  So it’s going to take me a while to process them and then of course I’ll want to share the story of our journey (with pictures) with you, which will take several postings.  I’ll think you’ll find the trip interesting.

Thanks to all who submitted their Great Bird Pics while I was gone.  I’ll be featuring them over the next few days.
