Before It Gets Left Behind

Sometimes when I’m browsing your Great Bird Pics I’ll spot one and think, “I’ll have to feature that one” and then I forget about it and it gets lost with all the other shared shots. I didn’t want this one to get away from me. Docshaf observed a rare visitor to Delaware recently – a Black-legged Kittwake. Now this bird may sound familiar to you because I featured some pictures them it in my Alaska Bird Tour reports – they were regularly seen in Seward and Anchorage. How this one got to Delaware we’ll never know but I credit docshaf for taking two days to track it down. Then it looks like he laid down on the sand to get this eye-level photograph. Well done, docshaf!
