GreatBirdPics members must have been practicing their BIF (Birds in Flight) shots lately because they’ve been sharing lots of them. Here are some of my favorites:
Mike Affinito was up in Zak Sim Bog in January and got some amazing shots of a Great Gray Owl flying around. Here’s one of his shots.
Here’s a Common Kingfisher in Scotland diving down toward the water taken by Bajadreamer. Read about where he was to get the shot in his Description (click the pic).
LouAlexander was out in California when he captured this Says Phoebe just landing on a post. I’ll bet he was watching that bird return to the post a couple of times so he could set up and get this one.
Rebecca Bowater placed four BIF shots of Banded Dotterel in this composite. Nicely done!
Finally, Bob has shared several BIF shots lately, but I really appreciate this one of an American Kestrel hovering up in the air. Not an easy shot to get.
