Bird Photograph of the Week – 10/6/23

This week’s Bird Photograph of the Week was taken by Emil Baumbach of a Ruby-throated Hummingbird.  What caught my eye was the detail in the flower the bird was feeding from.  Typically an object with depth like the globe-shaped flower would have some parts out of focus.  Then I looked at his camera settings and saw that the Aperture was set to 9 which increases the depth-of-field.  Well done, Emil!
