I have a million pictures of Great Blue Herons. Karen keeps telling me not to take more pictures of them but I can’t help myself. They are so majestic-looking and are often found around water (for those reflection-shot opportunities). Perhaps docshaf is the same way. Here’s one of his recent shots of a GBH taking off. You usually see pale blue and white on the bird but here you can pick out rust in the shoulders and wrists, a brown neck, and a bright white and orange face. I also like how he left some room on the left side of the image, leaving the viewer free to imagine where the bird is headed toward. Well done, docshaf!
