Our latest bird photography contest, “Birds Small In The Frame” was a great success! Over 80 photographs were submitted, which made it very difficult for my brother Xwinger and I to narrow it down. As we looked at the photographs we didn’t spend much time considering those that just appeared to have been zoomed/cropped out so the bird looked small. We carefully considered shots in which the bird was an integral part of the frame but didn’t dominate the whole image. We narrowed the field down to 8 Great Bird Pics best meeting the criteria.
Our contest winner was taken by Osprey60. Although the entire frame is filled with birds (Canada Geese) we thought that the Ross’s Goose head sticking up above the others creatively met our criteria of “Birds Small In The Frame”. Below is the winning picture. The seven runner up pictures will be shared next Monday.
Congratulations to Osprey60!
