Today we feature some Great Bird Pics that are a bit different than the usual. What a wonderful world we live in!
First off, a juvenile Bald Eagle on the ground near what looks like a railroad rail. What’s it doing down there? Kaur doesn’t say.
I can’t quite make out what all the objects are in the muddy water at the feet of this Eurasian Curlew. Bubbles? Pebbles? Insects? Perhaps Sylvester Alphonso can give us a clue.
Asteinmann caught a perched Red-footed Booby in the Galapagos. You don’t see one of these every day.
Here’s another strange sight – a male Magnificent Frigatebird with a fully inflated gular sac. Designed to attract a female, it looks very odd. Thanks again to asteinmann for this shot from the Galapagos Islands.
