Thanks to Mike Affinito for sharing this beautiful shot of a Lazuli Bunting singing away. I can’t count the number of blues and rusts seen on this male’s body. Note the Aperture of 5.6, giving the background its soft, creamy look. One of the most colorful birds seen in North America!
Contrast the male with Mike’s shot of the female below. Almost an inverse of the male with the rust color dominating with a hint of blue here and there. Great to see both genders photographed so well.
