25 Miles Out
Our GreatBirdPic of the Week was submitted by HMeade2108, a young yet accomplished birder. This picture was taken 25 miles off the Hatteras, North Carolina coast. Take a close look at the picture and you’ll see the Bridled Tern sitting on some flotsam, but also note the seaweed floating on the surface (the ocean was a mile deep there), the varied color of the water, and the pattern of the waves.
