Usually I put up the Bird Photograph of the Week on Friday but I wanted to close out the discussion about the Goldfinch cropping pictures last week.  So here we are on Monday celebrating last week’s best.  Second only to me, asteinmann has shared more pictures on GreatBirdPics than any other member.  He travels extensively and has shared some very exotic birds here.  However his Bird Photograph of the Week is perhaps one of his best, and was taken right in his neighborhood.  It’s a wonderful picture of a Purple Sandpiper on Montrose Pier, Chicago.  Congratulations asteinmann!
