First, I want to thank all of you who have shared your Great Bird Pics in the Birds of Prey – With Prey Contest.  Lots of interesting shots of raptors – if you have a stomach for it.  Keep them coming!   Some very interesting pics to share with you today.  Some with lots of color and one without.  Which do you like best?

Here’s a colorful picture where the flowers provide most of the color.  The Ruby-throated Hummingbird is interesting but not as bright.  Thanks to Avneet Kaur for the shot.

Here’s a bird that pops with color – a Lazuli Bunting.  Taken by dwarles in British Columbia, Canada.  It doesn’t get much more colorful than that!

Let’s take it down a notch in color.  At first glance I didn’t see the color at all in these two Australian ducks but then when I saw they were Pink-eared Ducks I was able to focus on the small patch of color on the head.  Thanks for sharing Photogirl10!

Lastly here’s a lack of color.  These Wild Turkeys were prowling around LouAlexander’s back yard in San Diego, CA.  A little red on the wattle is all the color we get.  Let’s revisit them in breeding season!
