Great Bird Pics continue to come in from around the world and today we feature four from Australia and the United States. Here are the ones that caught my eye:
First from Delaware, USA docshaf captured a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher surrounded by blue sky. Tough shot on several fronts – gnatcatchers move constantly and the exposure is hard to get right with the bright background. Well done!
Moving down to Arizona, USA Avneet Kaur recently completed her first birding trip to the area and she loved it! She particularly liked the variety of hummingbirds. Today she shares an interesting composition of a Hooded Oriole perched on a trunk riddled with holes made by birds. Very interesting!
Now let’s go around the world to Australia where Dylan Gilbert shot this closeup of a Straw Necked Ibis. Just look at all the colors on this bird!
Finally, Photogirl10 shared several pictures of a Galah. Look at the unusual color combination of the turquoise body and a snow-white head. Anyone up for a trip to Australia to see one of these?
