I’m trying to catch up with some of the Great Bird Pics you shared while I was away in Alaska. Here are four that caught my eye from varied locations:
Paul Demkovich was in California where Anna’s Hummingbirds abound. Hard to resist taking pictures of them.
Let’s head over to Illinois where MuskyMike captured a beautiful shot of a Yellow-throated Warbler – so colorful! I’m usually not a fan of compositions using the Portrait Mode, but it really works here with the long stems hanging down.
Over to Mumbai, India where Sylvester Alphonso shot this Open-billed Stork at a college campus. The Portrait Mode is used here as well – I would like to see a bit more space between the top of the head and the frame, though.
Let’s complete our trip around the world and come back to California, where Bill Maginn got low to get this shot of one of my favorite plovers – a Snowy Plover.
