GreatBirdPics Members’ Showcase – 7/9/26

It looks like the website is slowly returning to normal – Comments are up and working!  Here’s a few recent pics that caught my eye:

MuskyMike caught an unusual moment as it appears a male Orchard Oriole is feeding a female.  I have seen males and females feeding chicks but not one adult feeding another – has anybody else ever seen this?

Sometimes just a plain pose can be beautiful, like this Killdeer shot by Bob.  The lighting and sharpness are perfect, making the colors of the bird stand out (love that orange eye).  Great job, Bob!

Rebecca Bowater has been posting several shots of Tui she photographed in her New Zealand backyard.  This one came in first, but the others are equally good.

Finally, how did Mike Affinito get so close to this Common Loon?  Was he in the water with the bird?  Great Bird Pic, Mike!

Next week I’ll feature more pics, including some from Paul Demkovich’s Galapagos trip.
