I Challenge You to Enter a Photo Contest!

Project FeederWatch’s Bird Photography Contest

Here’s a challenge to all of my bird photography buddies – enter a picture in a contest this year!  We have some pretty amazing photographers out there but I bet that, like me, they’ve never entered any of their GreatBirdPics in a contest.  Here are some of the reasons I tell myself why NOT to enter:

“I’m not good enough”

“I don’t have the time”

“Everyone takes better pictures than me”

“I don’t know of any contests to enter”

So let’s make a pact to stop making excuses and get in the game – you can’t win if you don’t enter.  I’ll tee it up for you – Wild Birds Unlimited is sponsoring Project FeederWatch’s bird photography contest.  Project FeederWatch is a November-April survey of birds that visit backyards, nature centers, community areas, and other locales in North America and is hosted by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology (of eBird and Merlin App fame).   We have until January 24, 2022 to enter ONE picture.  So let’s do it – CLICK HERE to go to the contest entry page (be sure to read the Contest Rules!)  Let me know which picture you enter and then we can all vote for our favorites.

Good Luck!

Stay Safe.  Go Birding.  Take Pics. Share Here (and in a Contest).  Repeat.

Mike
