Here’s a shot Mike took in Minnesota of a Common Loon. I’m guessing the adult on the left caught the fish the chick is attempting to swallow. Hope it went down OK!
Now from Colorado, Mike shot a closeup of a Dusky Grouse with its bright red air sac showing. Vivid shot!
I was drawn to this shot of a juvenile Red-headed Woodpecker. There isn’t much color but it is tack-sharp and the pose is interesting. It doesn’t have to be an exotic and colorful bird to be a Great Bird Pic!
Finally, who doesn’t love the colors of a Mountain Bluebird? This one really shines!
