Member’s Bird Photography Showcase – 1/13/22

Jamaica, Mon

I swear Asteinmann (and wife) go to more places birding than I have pictures (and I have a lot of pictures).  Most recently they were in Jamaica and he has been sharing a lot of his pictures of birds found there.  Let’s take a look at some of the best ones.

We all love parrots and Asteinmann captured a Black-billed Parrot eating in a tree.  Such a beautiful shade of green!

Take a look at the length of the tail on this hummer – it must be three times as long at the bird!  No wonder it’s called a Streamtail.  A Red-billed Streamtail, if you don’t mind.

Look at the luscious rust-colored breast on this bird.  A Chestnut-bellied Cuckoo is well named.

You can’t beat this next pose.  Guess what kind of Egret is sitting atop the steer?  That’s right, a Cattle Egret.  Well done, Asteinmann!

He’s got lots more Jamaican birds in his My Flock section – Click Here to see.

Stay Safe.  Go Birding.  Take Pics.  Post Here.  Repeat.
