Seeing Red
It struck me that we had a couple of birds with a lot of red on them lately. Enjoy!
Emil Baumbach captured a female Red-bellied Woodpecker while trying to photograph another bird (I bet it was a Bluebird). This is a female, as told by the fact that the red doesn’t extend to the top of the head.
Or maybe Emil was looking for a Red-bellied Sapsucker. I find these birds to be very interesting to look at.
Was Birder2011 seeing double? She was capturing a female Cardinal when a male flew in behind.
