Members’ Bird Photography Showcase – 5/17/22

I always enjoy viewing pics submitted by our members – they always find interesting subjects to share with us.  Take a look:

Franzdom says he has a nest of Carolina Wrens just outside his kitchen door.  Here’s one of the adults grabbing some food from the suet feeder.  Nice closeup!

 

After viewing my post last week about the difference between subspecies John Weisgerber submitted another example for us.  This is a female Red-winged Blackbird in Texas – note how black it is.

 

Just to prove my point CampSnitchNerdBird (one of our newest members) submitted a pic of a female Red-winged Blackbird from Michigan.  What a difference!

 

While visiting a park in North Carolina franzdom capture a beautiful image of a Ruddy Shelduck.  This is a domesticated duck and is naturally found in southeast Asia.
