A High-Quality Batch Just Flew In

Overall we get some pretty good pictures shared here on GreatBirdPics.com.  Recently some really great ones have been posted that I just have to highlight.  We tend to get pics of the same species of birds from different people at the same time – those particular species are very active and visible at the same time of year.

First up is the Indigo Bunting.  A brilliant blue (male) bird that will often perch for pics.  Emil Baumbach caught this one singing (note the tongue sticking out a little).  I love the red stalk it is perched on – that same color is reflected in the wings of the bird.

The next Indigo Bunting pic is from Birder2011.  Nice and sharp.

How about one more?  LinLark caught an Indigo in the scrubs.

Tree Swallows also like to perch between their sweeping flights just above the ground in search of bugs.  All of these pics look so realistic they almost look fake!  Our first pic by Emil Baumbach

The one below by Birder2011.

I’ll add one of my own since I just took it and it turned out pretty good.

Keep those great pics coming in!

Stay Safe.  Go Birding.  Take Pics.  Share Here. Repeat

Mike
