Pretty Bird!  Pretty Bird!

Members continue to submit some very interesting pictures.  Take a look:

Asteinmann gets us started today with a Kingbird on nest.  It is so rare that we are able to capture birds sitting on a nest that I had to include this one.

I find this next picture from Birder2011 very interesting.  At first glance it appears that the bird is too small in the frame.  However when you look closely you see different colored reeds in the space to the right of the bird.  This gives us much more of a feel of the environment the bird was found in.

Asteinmann again with a singing Hooded Warbler.  He caught this one in Tennessee.  I thought warblers migrated north to breed in the summer but not the Hooded.  He said that he saw at least eight of them during his recent excursion to the Smokey Mountains.

Everybody get ready to say, “Ahhhh!”  Birder 2011 caught this baby Mute Swan in a cute position shortly after it hatched.
