Member’s Bird Photography Showcase – 8/13/21

Pretty Bird!  Pretty Bird!

I know you were eagerly expecting the next section of the QSAR but due to circumstances beyond my control I have had to postpone it till next week.  Until then please enjoy these pictures submitted by our members.

Our friend jtboland was off in Florida and spotted a rare Pomarine Jaeger.  Don’t know much about them but I’m sure it was a Lifer for him.

Emil Baumbach took his camera out west to Colorado last month and submitted some great pics like this Western Tanager.  Wonderful colors and composition!

Bittern are tough birds to find.  They hide in the reeds and blend in so well you can be looking at one and not even know it.  Birder2011 went up to the famous birding area Horican March in Wisconsin recently and came up with a super shot of one.

Here’s a closeup of a Tui in New Zealand.  Rebecca Bowater says it’s also called a Parson Bird – can you guess why?  Nice shot Rebecca!

Stay Safe.  Go Birding.  Take Pics.  Share Here.  Repeat.

Mike
