Member’s Bird Photography Showcase – 8/5/21

Pretty Bird!  Pretty Bird!

I was particularly impressed with the quality of the latest pictures coming in to the site – thanks to all who recently submitted them!  Let’s take a look at a select few:

Like a warbler, the Blue-gray Gnatcatcher is small and constantly moves so it is very hard to get a good picture of one.  LinLark got a great picture of one!  Congrats!

Can’t resist sharing this female Blackburnian Warbler with you.  Again, another excellent pic from LinLark.

This next one from John Weisgerber is equally hard to photograph because of its constant motion and small size.  I really like the dark background surrounding the House Wren as it sings.  GreatBirdPic, John!

If you have Ospreys around you then you have probably seen them hover in mid-air before streaking down on its prey.  Asteinmann captured the hovering part of that action nicely.

We’ll end today’s pics with another one from John Weisgerber.  A hungry Tree Sparrow nesting in a tree.  Looks like John was right there.  Makes me realize I’m hungry for breakfast!

Till next time.

Stay Safe.  Go Birding.  Take Pics.  Share Here.  Repeat.

Mike
