Sometimes new members sign up to GreatBirdPics just to enjoy the pictures posted by others and sometimes a new member signs up and starts posting their pics immediately. Welcome to mikeaff, who just signed up and started posting his pics immediately! Take a look at some of my favorites from our newest member:
The very first picture mikeaff posted was a GreatBirdPic – a Bufflehead (male) rearing up and flapping its wings. Note the iridescence in the neck.
Another great picture of his is of this male Hooded Merganser with its hood fulled extended attempting to attract a nearby female.
It is hard enough to find a Cerulean Warbler, but to catch one feeding on a huge caterpillar is special. Congrats to mikeaff for getting (and sharing) such a great shot!
