Non-typical Shots

Today’s featured shots have a bit of twist to them.  Not much, but different for the bird and therefore for the viewer.  Take a look:

Rebecca Bowater regularly shares images of the Bar-tailed Godwits, those amazing birds that migrate from Alaska to New Zealand (and back) without stopping.  They are now in NZ and she captured this BIF shot of some at eye-level.  Click the pic to read why they were flying around.

 

Here’s something you don’t see every day – a Red-tailed Hawk attacking a Bald Eagle.  Great capture, Bob!

 

Finally, here’s a shot from LouAlexander of a Turkey Vulture resting atop a light pole, trying to warm up for the day.  Thanks for seeing the unusual in the usual!
