Members have been sharing some of their pictures of birds on the shore or in the water. These caught my eye:
Paul Demkovich captured this Reddish Egret using its wings to corral fish – as the frightened fish swim away the bird picks them out of the water.
All of the Teals (Blue and Green-winged) found in the midwest are beautiful in their own right, but the Cinnamon Teal is the most striking, in my opinion. Thanks for Bajadreamer for providing the evidence.
JamesD reminds us that even the most common bird, like the Ring-billed Gull, can become a great photography subject.
