Wood Duck
Yes it has been a sad year for warbler watching and photography this spring. While I have seen about a dozen species so far, getting great bird pics of them has been a real challenge as most have been high up in the canopy and barely visible. Last year when the weather was cold, wet and miserable and I was wading in ankle deep water on the paths there were so many more warblers close to the ground which made for fantastic photos. This year all I got is Wood Ducks and a handful of good warbler photos. Maybe tomorrow will be better.
