Black-crowned Night-Heron
Black-crowned night-heron at Graue Mill. BCNHs are fairly widespread–we’ve even seen them in China. However, we seldom run across one in DuPage County. This fellow was hanging around the dam hoping to find some lunch.

Nice shot of the BCNH. I think I saw that same bird there a couple of months ago so glad to see that it is till hanging around.
