One of the three subspecies of Gray-crowned Rosy Finch, the Hepburn’s breeds in the cascades, while the other two breed in Alaska (“Pribolif”) and the Canadian rockies (“Gray-crowned”). All three are distinct visually, with the Hepburn’s distinguishable by the extent of the gray patch on its face.

I have a soft spot for finches and especially the Rosy Finches., Nice shot.
Great shot of the Rosy-finch! I have not heard of them before but next time out west will see if I can find one.
