Downy Woodpecker
I like goldfinches, so I have a feeder with their favorite food, thistle. However, this attractive male Downy Woodpecker and the chickadee flying underneath didn’t get the memo. I do have other pictures of with just the chickadee on the feeder. These two hungry birds were feeding after we had an ice storm.

The Downy at the Thistle Feeder is rather unique. I don’t think I’ve ever see that at my feeders. Good catch!
