Wood Stork

On July 23, 2021, a Wood Stork was reported north of us in Ludington. On August 1st, we decided a road trip was in order. We drove to the marked location and saw it foraging in the ditch just off the road. We had watched it for a bit when it walked up the bank and slowly ambled across the road 30 feet in front of us. It stood for a bit on the right side of the road before walking down into a shallower portion of the ditch. It was last reported on August 13th. A Michigan lifer for us.
