Snapped this photo in early May at Knox Farm State Park in New York. This was the first time I’ve ever seen (or perhaps cared to notice) the Bobolink. I was walking along a trail next to an immense field of long grass and heard what I describe as “R2-D2” chirps. A few Bobolinks started flying around and perching on tree branches, allowing me to take this up-close photo.
