This Black-bellied Plover is washed in soft morning light on Montrose Beach. The bird is walking along small clumps of algae right at the waters edge. Seeing these long distance travelers is always a thrill. As a side note, this was my first time laying down flat on the ground since surgery. What a difference it makes in the shot.
