European Goldfinch

visitor from Europe

These European goldfinches are almost native to this area due to several years of breeding.. Who knows how they first came to the United stated, but I always love seeing them and photographing them.

Even though they are non native, I really am happy they are thriving in our area. Great shot on the thistle plant.
