A juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk calling to another. I observed the two calling for about 10-15 minutes and even though they were only about 60 yards apart, neither left their respective perch.

It’s hard to capture birds against a backlit sky, like the Red-Shouldered Hawk. If you use post-processing you can bump up the Shadows setting and get a better look. Good job getting focus through the branches.
Mike, this was taken on a very overcast day and I had to lighten it during pp in order to see the details better. I don’t have software for pp, so this was done using the limited options available on my phone.
