Snowy owls are known to hide in plain sight.. On this particular photo, I was driving in an area known for Snowies when I noticed a small bump in the snow out in a field.. As I slowed my vehicle I noticed what I was seeing was a Snowy Owl.. I drive around in my Jeep with the windows down and heat off, this way there is no radiant heat flowing out of my vehicle and in from of my lens.. I was ready and able to get this photo.. the image in the background is a grain silo. I never stay longer than needed to get my photo.. this way I limit the stress put on these rare visitors.

Nice natural setting and low angle. I love it when you can get them in the snow.
Thank you Emil. This was on a small hill, I was in my Jeep taking this one.
