This was my first trip to Sax-Zim Bog,, the notorious winter birding destination.. I had no idea what to expect and had an awesome time.. driving the roads instead of walking through the woods to find owls was different for me.. This Great Gray Owl was enjoying the sunshine on the side of the road and didn’t mind having his photo taken.

Thanks for sharing all the Great Gray Owl pics with us. We spent three days there 2 years ago and finally found a Great Gray on the last morning, observing it through the snow. Such wonderful birds to see there.
