A female Ruby-throated enjoys the nectar from this flower. I usually am looking at the background when I set up my tripod when shooting Hummingbirds. I keep the light to my back and pick a good flower to begins my wait,, and wait,,, and wait…

GreatBirdPic of the female Ruby-throated! I tend to do the opposite – find a bird and hope it ends up in a good location. You select a good location and wait for a bird. As a result you end up with much better photos. Something to think about…
