This horned lark was along side the road eating the gravel. They are so hard to photograph at eye level.. this is due to them flying away as soon as you stop you vehicle. For this shot, I laid next to my park vehicle and waited for the bird to come to me.. This was on an isolated road with no traffic, before you ask..
