Vermilion Flycatcher
Happy to see this lifer in the brushy weeds on the beach, but would have really loved it if a male had showed up as well.
Fun fact about this bird – when the males are courting females they bring them flashy gifts to woo them, like a colorful butterfly. Now that would have been an amazing sight to see.

I agree that the male Vermillion is stunning, but the female in this picture is no slouch. Nice and sharp and I like your decision to include much of the branch it is perched on.
