This bird was in an extremely mucky area eating tuber after tuber. Although his bill is a little messy the overall scene is what I wanted. A majestic bird with a nice head turn by one of his favorite ponds in good light.

Great composition (Sandhill) – the tan far-bank on the head then the blue water on the neck and body, descending down to the reeds that are the same color as its body. Wonderful capture!
