Greater White-fronted Goose

I was on my way back from taking train pictures in Fort Madison, Iowa when I decided to stop at Riverview Park just south of Dallas City, Illinois. I saw quite a few Northern Shovelers on the water, but they flew to the other side of the pond when I got out of my car. I was able to get this shot of a White-fronted Goose that appeared to be nesting. The shot is slightly into the sun, but this was the best I could do because it flew away when I tried to move to a better angle.
