Purple Finches In Our Yard

Two male Purple Finches were at our feeders this AM. That’s a first for me. I put out a platform feeder late last year hoping to be visited by Evening Grosbeaks-that didn’t happen. However, the platform feeder has proven popular. The Purple Finches weren’t interested in squabbling with the House Finches, so they were often perched off the feeders waiting their turn.
