Western Meadowlark

I’m putting my foot down

My wife and I stopped at a scenic overload at the Theodore Roosevelt National Park in Medora, North Dakota and we came across this meadowlark. I probably could have gotten a closer shot if other visitors hadn’t brought their dogs that tended to scare the bird away.

Pretty good pic of the Western Meadowlark. Looks like it was a bright day – usually the camera dials down the exposure but it didn’t on this one. Next time this happens try bumping the exposure down in post -processing.
