Black Skimmer chick

One of several Black Skimmer chicks seen recently in the migratory nesting bird area at Rockport Beach Park. The area is roped off and off-limits, so this photo is heavily cropped, taken with my lens at full 500mm reach.

Boy that bill really sticks out on the skimmer chick. Guess they have to start them young to grow them so large as adults. Thanks for sharing the pic.
