Female Eastern Bluebird with catepillar for nestlings

This is the female of the pair of Bluebirds whose nestbox I monitored this season. They appear to have successfully raised two broods. Both parents gather insects for the nestlings. Recently, the juveniles have been in our backyard at our mealworm feeder.

You really stopped the action on the Bluebird with mealworm! I had to look twice to see that the feet weren’t touching the branch. Great shot overall.
