These 2 Black Skimmers were an unexpected find when I recently traveled to San Joaquin Wildlife Reserve (as the managers describe it, a water treatment facility disguised as a wildlife reserve) to photograph wading birds. There were not too many waders, but these two birds made numerous passes in front of me. Unfortunately they were too far apart to get both in perfect focus, but still I like the symmetry.
The two Skimmers were only present at dawn for about 15 minutes.
There are two ducks (probably hen Mallards) in the BG.
