Least Tern

One of the species I wanted to find while along the outer banks, least terns nest in sand dunes, in unassuming nests, just like this. Their nests are easily disturbed and threatened by increased development of coastal areas.

A very interesting picture of the Least Tern. I like the out of focus in the foreground with the rest in sharp focus. Well done!
