Tropical Parula

Distinguished from a northern parula by the lack of an eye ring, the tropical parula’s range just reaches into the US in south Texas. This bird peeks out of some dark bushes into a spot of sunlight, allowing me to snap just this single frame before she slipped back into the underbrush
